Rockstar revealed Grand Theft Auto VI on December 4, 2023 — a day early, after the trailer leaked online. The first look confirmed a return to a modern-day Vice City inside the state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida.
It also introduced Lucia, the series' first female protagonist since the 2D era. The trailer broke YouTube records on its way to 100 million views in under a week.
